Maddox Down Farm is situated in a quiet hamlet with stunning views over the countryside, completely rural. This working farm, with the traditional stone barns converted into 5 delightful holiday cottages in keeping with the area has been in family ownership since the 1500s.
On site there is a games room in a converted cart linhay, complete with pool table, board games, books, videos and more.
In the meadow below the cottages there is a catch and release fishing lake, stocked with trout and carp, which can be used by guests free of charge, tackle can be supplied for a small charge if required. There is a shopping service available, including local produce, and a welcome pack, which will be available on arrival.
Guided farm walks are provided, where the ancient standing stone, fabulous views of Wales and Exmoor can be seen with the chance to feed the owners Jacob sheep on the way.
